Cacao Del Rey

Cacao del Rey or the “King’s Cocoa” is a collection of food/ingredient-based packaging. Designed through the inspirations of ancient Aztec and Mayan architecture and culture. Thanks to these culturally rich resources of information, it allowed me to conceptualize unique concepts that would stand out amongst their more simply designed competitors.

Cacao del Rey uses a palette meant to represent the vivid colors of the ancient deities embodied in these designs, while also using a secondary palette that is meant to embody the ancient, natural growth around the old temples of these civilizations.
