The Gorillaz - Byron Bay Collection

The Gorillaz Byron Bay Collection, consists of one 16 x 20 concert poster and two gifs that were created as a project based on popular merchandising and advertisements used for music festivals or concerts. Due to the background of the Gorillaz’s band being stewed in punk origins as well as being founded in both urban graffiti and bad attitudes, it only made sense to pull on these elements for this specific project!

Using a bright, yet attractive color palette was necessary to help draw attention to its illustrative elements, such as the dripping graffiti and the figures of each of the band’s recognizable characters. The photography that makes up the background was captured by yours truly to help cement the entirety of the composition together into one memorable set of advertisements.
